Jello Cake (Lynn’s)
This cake is easy and good. You can use whatever flavor of jellow you like, but I like lemon jello the best.
I use a French Vanilla cake mix. I use Betty Crocker or Duncan Hines. To this add 3 eggs, 1 1/4 cups water, 1/3 cup of oil….then add 1 small package of dry jello. I also usually add one of those little individual puddings like you put in lunch boxes. Mix all of this together. Do not add water to the jello. Only add what is down here.
Spray a pan with like the stuff that keeps things from sticking…most all brands work just fine.
Bake in over until a knife comes out clean. 350 for about 35 minutes.
For the frosting you can use the canned stuff or make your own, or make a drizzle for it. All are good.
For the drizzle: use two tablespoons of butter/margarine and melt it. put powdered sugar and mix until just the consistency you want…add a little water if you want a glaze or you can add more powdered sugar until thick like frosting. Mix well. Either dripple on cake, or frost depending on which one you make. You can also add like a tablespoon of lemon juice or more to your likeing and taste.
One other thing you can do that is good is to add to this drizzle one of the 8 oz containers of cream cheese and blend It is very good.
