Saurerkraut (Real)
7 – 10 pounds cabbage
shread up real fine/chop
6 Tab salt
Put into crock…ceramic
Pound this down
1 1/2 Tab salt
1 Quart water to cover
Cover with plate that fits inside jar and another plate as lid
It sits in this an once a day mix
Takes like 7 days to be sauerkraut and then you can cook and use as you do any sauerkraut except it is much better
