Frosting: Caramel

This goes good on white, vanilla, or spice cake

1/2 cup margarine or butter
1 cup brown sugar…packed down
1/4 cup milk
2 1/2 powdered sugar

melt butter in sauce pan and add brown sugar…boil a couple minutes stirring all the time.
Add milk: keep stirring until mixture boils
Remove from heat

Stir in powdered sugar mixing well

There is enough here to frost an 8 or 9 inch cake

Let the frosting cool before you put on cake
