Pineapple Surprise
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
4 tsp Baking Powder
1 Tab sugar
Mix the above together
Add 4 tablespoons butter or margarine (with fork or pastry blender)
3/4 cup of milk
knead and turn out on floured board and roll 1/4 inch thick
Cut in circles (large glass size)
Place on buttered, greased, or sprayed baking sheet
On one side of circle lay a half slice of pineapple (drained good)
Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon
dot with butter or margarine
Fold over
dampen edges and press together
Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon
Bake about 375 for about 15 or so minutes
These are good served hot and can have a sauce poured over them made of:
The pineapple syrup from the can
1/4 cup water
a little cornstarch
1 tsp lemon juice
2 tsp margarine or butter
Heat till kind of thick…not real thick…not real runny
Pour over them
add a bit of cinnamon on top if you like cinnamon
