Do You Hear Me?
No, you do not have to listen to me, anymore than I have to listen to you. However, all of us needs to be listening to the Lord. But it is a choice. You can accept Jesus or reject Him. You really do have that right of choice.
But I ask…if you don’t know Jesus why don’t you?
Why do you choose not to know Him personally? What has He done to you that you reject Him? What did you hear about Him that would turn you off? He is amazing and loved you and me enough to come to this earth to die for us. Would anyone else do that for us? No!
I used to be a person that knew of Jesus but I didn’t know Him personally and that is what we need. How can we truly love without knowing someone? We can know what they do, did, or whatever, but until it is a personal relationship it is not a personal relationship.
Knowing Jesus was the best decision I ever made. Oh, I still mess up at times…but Jesus is right there to get me back on the path I need to be on. He doesn’t always take away the consequences I must face while on this earth, but when I confess my sins, repent by changing…then God forgives me and shows me what I need to do.
Oh, to never get off the path would be amazing wouldn’t it? I don’t mean to mess up and make a choice I shouldn’t make…but I am human and even though that is not an excuse it is something I must deal with…and I need to do it immediately when it happens.
I must be certain to listen to God all the time. He is trying to keep me on the path to Him and heaven one day, but He has given me free choice. I am not a robot and neither are you. We have to use our own brain to make choices and this is a biggy one to follow Jesus or not.
No matter who tells you that there are several ways to get to heaven that is not what God says. You won’t get there if Jesus is not your Lord and Savior. God lets you believe whatever you choose to, but He really wants you to spend eternity with Him…but you don’t have to. The thing is you will never be able to stand in front of God and blame God if you miss heaven. He gives you so many opportunities to do right.
God is always speaking to us but are we listening? What are we going to do with our relationship with Him. It is time to seek the Lord because living eternally without Him…you won’t like. By the way hell is not a big party…it is called hell for a reason. Are you really going to go there because you want to live in sin now. Our life is but a second, if even that, compared to eternity. Please stop listening to those that try to get you to believe if you are nice you will go to heaven, and/or you can believe whatever for God will let you into heaven. That is not what God says and He is God. Heaven belongs to Him and it goes by His rules. Don’t you want to find out the truth and then live it?
Matthew 5 in the New Living Translation (NLT) begins with Jesus teaching the crowds and his disciples on a mountainside. He shares the Beatitudes, stating that God blesses those who are poor, mourn, humble, hunger for justice, and are merciful. The chapter emphasizes the importance of being a light in the world and fulfilling the law, encouraging followers to live righteously.
On the big scale of life and time…I am just one person reaching out and sharing Jesus. All of us should reach out and tell others of the love of Jesus. Now, may God bless you, keep you, and may God show you the way…let Him. He truly does love you.
